Bromley RSPB Group Events for 2007
 
Bromley RSPB Members' Group organises a wide range of events, including indoor meetings, car and coach outings, local walks and fairs. Bromley RSPB Wildlife Explorers Group organises outings and meetings for children. Please click on Kid's  Events at top of  page.

EVENING INDOOR MEETINGS: These are held on the second Wednesday of the month at the Central Library, High Street, Bromley (not July and August). The meetings start at 7.45 pm but the hall is open from 7.15 pm when sales goods are usually available. We finish around 9.00 pm. The meetings usually consist of a slide show, raffle and a summary of recent news and notices. Please bring along used stamps and foreign coins which we collect to raise money for the RSPB.

  • Admission is £2.00 (RSPB members), £2.50 (Non members)
The talks consist of Professional speakers covering from topics like The Life of the Robin to Wildlife of Patagonia have draw a regular audience. If you see a talk that interests you, why not come along. Your do not have to be RSPB members to attend our meetings they are open to everyone and make new friends. A selection of RSPB goods and Nuts & Seeds are on sale.
 
Membership is open to all RSPB members annual subscriptions of £3.00 for individuals and £4.00 for families to cover cost of 4 newsletters a year.
 
Please note that subs are due at the start of  January and can be paid at Wednesday meetings to our membership secretary Edna Ticknell.

Heron Watch Event at Kelsey Park, Beckenham, Bromley

We are holding a Heron watch at one of London's biggest heronries with information and Telescopes set up  looking at the Breeding herons and other birds that can be seen at Kelsey Park and many other parts of Bromley. If you can spare sometime on either of the 2 days to help us or if you have a telescope that can be used for this event,

This is our biggest fund raising event so please come and support us. If you have any plants, annuals, shrubs or bedding plants that you would like to donate to the fair please let 'Greenfingers' Eric Ryan know. If you could identify and label the plants that would be a great help. Getting plants to the event can be a problem so if you could help by bringing them along it would be appreciated. Eric will be there from 8:30am. He can be reached on 020 8856 8224 if there are any problems.
